The witch's kitchen was a hive of activity. Before breakfast, every morning, she swept the cobwebs off the floor and opened the curtain and painted the door. The witch decided to make a spell to tidy her house and the garden as well. "Abracadabra !" she cried ... as the broom jumped from the cupboard and started to sweep the floor all by itself. The books tidied themselves on the bookshelf. The fireplace was, of course, full of soot ... but the witch''s spell cleaned it up ... it washed every saucer and every cup. The witch magicked ... "Make a potion as good as any washing up liquid" ... clean the windows and fix the grid. Soon, where once, the glass had been dirty, the panes now shone and the cracks had disappeared, all because of the witch's magic spell. The witch's kitchen was the best in town ... because of her spell that brought the house down. Soon the kitchen was sparkling like new ... on the stove boiled ... a delicious stew. Out in the garden, the plants simply grew ... the lawn had been mowed and the Sun shone ... the dead leaves on the grass were all magically gone. The witch decided to stitch her clothes ... so she magicked a spell that left her in stitches and turned cloak her from rags to riches ... the spell sewed the seams on her dress and now her wardrobe was no longer a mess. Soon, her spell started to work upstairs, it magicked on the broken table legs and fixed the cushions on the chairs. The moths flew away with a tiny moth flutter and the hat stand that was once full of clutter, now was completely tidied as the witch gave a mutter. The witch gave a "ZAP !" and made her magic work on the taps ... Her bubble trouble worked in the bath ... and soon bubbles bubbled along the garden path. The witch's cat had brought in a mouse ... chased it around the rug and all around the house. But once the witch had cast her spell ... the feline friend was the best behaved cat as well.
