The Christmas That Santa Came to Ethan's House

The Christmas that Santa came to Ethan's house,

Santa brought along Mrs Christmas, his spouse....

She helped Mummy bake the cakes,

She cleaned the oven and gave the rug a shake !

It's no surprise, she cooked plenty mince pies,

Soon, Ethan was snowed under, up to his eyes !

A tasty slice of steak pie was a must,

With a thick, crumbly, buttery crust !

In case Daddy was in a hurry,

Mrs Christmas cooked him a jalfrezi curry...

Some soup, too, with fresh, warm bread,

Was ready for Ethan when he got out of bed...

A fried egg and a chicken leg,

She washed the clothes, and put them to peg...

In the pot, steamy and hot, was another of daddy's favourites,

Beef hotpot !

(Daddy smelt it and the salt 'n' pepper got...

Before long, he had devoured the lot !)

For dessert, (though there wasn't much room),

Was chocolate ice-cream,

(Then she swept with the broom !)

To wash it down, there was lemonade to drink,

Mrs Christmas piled the dishes up in the sink !

When all the cooking and cleaning was done,

There were presents galore for everyone !

As well as other ticket treats,

There were also tasty things to eat ...

What was really needed was a railway station,

Perhaps, one year, that would be Santa's next creation !
