Santa's Peak District Christmas

Santa wanted to visit somewhere cool and refreshing...

So off he zoomed to Derbyshire for a bit of well dressing...

Though his Christmas "to do" list was still quite pressing...

He needed a holiday and to do a little de - stressing...

So Santa toured around the Peaks,

Delivering laptops to computer geeks...

He hadn't had this much fun in weeks !

Though with such large sacks, the gnomes looked freaks !

He'd remembered his walking boots...and red and white suit...

Even a map so he wouldn't get lost en route !

It wasn't long before all were sleepy....

They longed for somewhere with mince pies deeply...

And soon they found a place that served them cheaply....

In the Pavillion cafe, Buxton, they had a real treat....

Steak and kidney pie to eat....

The waiter served it steaming hot - you wouldn't believe how much gravy it had got...

Santa's eyes widened, then he wolfed the lot !

The waiter said, "Another slice might be quite nice..."

Santa didn't have to think twice !

Santa squeezed onto his sleigh....which was getting much heavier by the day...

It didn't take off as easily, needless to say....but Rudolph tugged as hard as he could anyway !

Through the night sky, the gang then flew,

Unfortunately, the sleigh off course was blew,

So stuck on a mountain as Santa grew !

The Horseshoe round looked pretty from up there,

Through the clouds, on the ground, people were everywhere !

Santa tried to take off but couldn't get out out of first gear...

It was no good, he'd have to read a book,

Whilst on the peaks, the sleigh was stuck !

Although they didn't get much done,

And Santa ended up weighing a ton,

Their Derbyshire Christmas had been quite fun...

With plenty clean, fresh Spring water for everyone !
