The Christmas that Santa landed on the roof,
And Rudolph smashed the rooftiles, with his clumsy hoof....
Mrs Christmas & Santa decided to move house,
Beneath the floorboards, there were holes left by the mouse !
The grotto door was hanging off its hinges,
The curtains were black where the candles singes ....
The glass in the window had a crack,
The grotto looked an untidy shack,
So Santa and Mrs Christmas went to the bank and back...
They decided to take a mortgage and a loan,
To buy a new property and decorate a new home....
So the £500,000 cost, was sent to them in the post...
Through the letterbox, the envelope popped,
Onto the mat, narrowly missing the cat, it dropped !
They looked all around Christmas - town,
And decided to put a deposit down...
The very next day, everyone moved in...
Rudolph, the Robin and the Fairy (with a grin !)...
A cardboard box, full of stocking socks,
Even one of Santa's Grandfather clocks...
Pots and pans, piled up high in the kitchen,
The knitting basket Mrs Christmas used for her woollen stitchin' !
Eventually, everything was off the sleigh,
All cleaned and ready, unpacked for Christmas Day...
The curtains hung down straight on the windowsill,
As every cupboard, Gerome started to fill...
Feeling ill, he took a pill,
Things in the shed were piling up faster still !
They were all so pleased with their new grotto,
They felt they'd won a ticket for the Christmasland Lotto...
Their *** home was bright and gay,
All set up for the Yuletide holiday !
