The Hungry Seagull Who Ate Too Many Fish n' Chips

Writer: jjacquirjjacquir

The hungry seagull who lived by the sea, knew all the best places to find fish and chips for his tea. He ate so many fish and chips that he thought his beak would bust - regardless of a very long queue, the hungry seagull would fly in first. It didn't matter if there was no salt and vinegar ... Noticing he was getting thinner and thinner, the hungry seagull would always have a fish and chip dinner for dinner. It didn't matter if there were peas or not - his favourite dish was cod, whether cold or hot and the hungry seagull ate rather a lot. The hungry seagull sat all day on a wall to hide - waiting for batter with a tasty fish inside. Whatever the weather - it didn't matter at all. "Salt and vinegar !", was the hungry seagull's call. He waited for crumbs to be thrown on the street, scavanging for fish and chips with his fish and chip feet - when he found a tasty morsel he crowed "Mmmmmmm what a fish and chip treat !". Just the smell of bread and butter made the hungry seagull's wings flutter. He pecked all day and pecked all night ... fish and chips were the seagull's delight. Though the other shops sold postcards and stuff - the seagull flew past them and gave them a snuff. For fish and chips - he couldn't get enough. The hungry seagull ate fish and chips from a bucket ... if fish disappeared - it was usually the hungry seagull who'd took it. The hungry seagull knew all the news - he read the Daily Gazette daily as fish and chip, he chewed. Soon the seagull was the fattest in town ... and every time he tried to fly, he fell flattest, down to the ground. The hungry seagull who ate too much fish and chips - decided one day to nip for a dip. His paddling made quite a splash and his swimming trunks reported in the local gazette as a newsflash. When he jumped into the rippling water, he almost squashed a mermaid - who jumped up and the seagull caught her. The seagull was now more the size of a whale, though he still flapped his wings, and had a feathery fish and chip tail. Very soon he was beached on the shore ... eating more and more fish and chips than anyone had ever eaten before.
