The hungry housefly had to do some shopping,
So he zoomed to the supermarket, without stopping…
Making a list of what for, he headed off to the superstore,
Narrowly missed being squashed by the evolving door…
Feeling jolly, on the supermarket trolleys,
The hungry housefly first ate twelve ice – lollies…
Then onto guzzle a bottle of pop,
He devoured a steak and a juicy pork chop….
Mincemeat (lean), a pair of jeans,
He jogged on to eat the runner beans…
He sipped away on a gin and tonic,
Zooming so fast, he was almost supersonic…
The hungry housefly munched some more,
On some crisps spilled on to the floor…
Around the aisles, he flapped his wings,
Tucking into all kids of his favourite things…
He picked up a dozen eggs in aisle number nine,
Perched while he searched for a bottle of wine…
He leap-frogged over the guy stocking the shelf,
The hungry housefly was really enjoying himself !
Onto the sweet stand, the hungry housefly
the bubble gum, he bounced off overhead….
Past the milk and onto the cheese,
The hungry housefly skidded onto his knees…
Down aisle number ten, he sped at speed then,
Ate up a rubber and bought a new pen…
He paused a while down the newspaper aisle,
(He had already covered a hundred miles)…
Next he nibbled a hole in the “yoghurt” sign,
Where the people were queueing, he joined the line…
In first gear, he checked out,
Everybody was packing bags and rushing about….
Finally, he ended up in the car park, at last,
Where he gobbled up the pound coin, and headed off fast !
