The hungry housefly took a Summer trip,
When onto an aeroplane, he did accidentally slip,..
He didn’t mean to go so far,
Or get stuck under the bonnet of a car…
Off to Spain, he did skip,
Sat on the window, he could see a ship…
He didn’t look where he was going,
Or at the signs, “To Madrid” they were showing…
Before long, on the wing, he did land,
How he got to the luggage, he didn’t quite understand…
It’s easy for a housefly to soon get lost,
When you’re so hungry every flight is low cost !
Soon, in the cargo, he was munching away,
On an aeroplane ticket, but he didn’t pay…
His hungry appetite knows no bounds,
Especially a thousand kilometres off the ground…
Somewhere over France, when in full flight,
On the propeller, he took another bite…
His belly rumbled, as through the clouds he tumbled, “
That’s my honey sandwich !”, the bumble bee grumbled…
Still the hungry housefly munched and crunched,
Somewhere above the ocean, on a seatbelt he lunched…
There was nothing more that he loved than a scoff,
Nibbling on a seat, with belly ache on his day off !
