When the hungry housefly headed off to school,
He munched through the playground, which broke every rule !
He started off by nibbling on the school gate,
The hungry housefly then the bike shed, he ate…
He tasted the table, with ketchup on top,
Then pasted the chalkboard, his eating didn’t stop…
His favourite pencil dish, was his biggest wish,
Zooming around the classroom, with a hungry housefly SWISH !
Then the hungry housefly devoured the chairs,
Before heading off to the computer upstairs…
Soon the housefly was so fat,
He didn’t quite manage the cricket bat !
Off the desk, the housefly tumbled,
As the hungry housefly’s belly rumbled…
He gobbled up the classroom door,
Then rolled onto the classroom floor…
Before long, the fly was back on track,
(at break, a packet of crisps, he snacked)…
In the sports hall, of the basketball he took a bite,
Not even a hockey stick could quell his appetite…
His belly ached, but he kept eating,
He craved the radiator, and the central heating…
In the dining hall, at Dinner time,
The hungry housefly joined the line…
Around the kitchen, the housefly danced,
Into the oven, he hungrily glanced… A
t supper, he took another cuppa, and a cake as well,
Then home time rang, so he ate the bell !
