One day in the Sun, when the housefly’s work was all done,
The hungry housefly sped off to the park,
Grabbing a lift from a boy named Mark.
He thumbed a lift, jumped aboard,
Hitch-hiking a ride on Mark’s skateboard.
Feeling thinner, it was soon time for dinner,
His pit-stop at the park, proved to be a winner
He landed on the litter bin,
Before long, his chomping did begin.
He nibbled away on a can of coke,
Left behind by a bloke from Stoke.
Devoured a bun, and a crisp or two,
Onto the playground, the housefly then flew.
When he sat on the swing, he dined on the seat,
The bench had all that a hungry housefly could eat !
He chomped away at the climbing frame,
Crunching and munching was a great housefly game !
He flew along, to feed the duck,
And gave the swan a hungry look !
Full up ad tired, the housefly retired,
To come back tomorrow re-inspired !
