The hungry housefly literally spent hours,
Soaking up the Sun on the petals in the flowers….
When the clock turned Midday at Noon,
He flew out to the garden to see the chrysanthemums in bloom…
He sneezed a little on the pollen dust,
Then chomped on the bird table, a bit of stale crust …
The hungry housefly felt a little silly,
Sticking to the leaves of the garden lily…
On a rose, he blew his nose,
Then zoomed around the garden hose….
On a bouquet, he hid away,
Behind the leaves of a plant, they say….
With the goldfish in the pond,
The hungry housefly swam around….
On a lily pad, the heat wasn’t so bad,
He soaked up every drop of water the fountain had…
When the Midday heat was getting hazy,
He rested on a big white daisy….
The buzzing of the bees made him crazy,
And the 72 degrees made him lazy…
And the Summer Sun had only just begun,
Tomorrow’s weather was forecast 101 !!!!
