On the way home from work one day,
The hungry housefly spied a circus on his way…
From up above, he could see easily,
A thousand people queueing by a tree…
As he floated by on the Summer breeze,
He took a swing on the high trapeze…
The housefly bounced off the drum,
Straight onto a zebra’s stripy tum…
The hungry housefly then came down from the top,
But his crunching didn’t stop…
He panted ad puffed, on the elephant huffed…
He ate so much candy floss, he was soon utterly stuffed !
He landed with a thump, on a camel’s hump,
Took another chomp, on a sugar lump !
The hungry housefly drank a milkshake,
You wouldn’t believe the bubbles, he began to make !
Even some popcorn, spilled onto the floor,
And a toffee apple devoured to the core,
But he still munched some more,
Soon, the housefly was too fat for the door…
The hungry housefly flew a merry dance,
The day he bought a ticket for the circus performance !
