When the hungry housefly cooks up a treat,
There are always lovely things to eat…
As soon as the clock reads half past five,
The hungry housefly comes alive…
He switches on the microwave,
Flutters his wings, puts the computer on save….
Then decides was delights to cook,
From his favourite recipe book…
He washes up the pots and pans,
Around the kitchen light he spans…
He doesn’t stop (he eats a pork chop !),
Into a pile of jelly he flops…
A sprinkle of salt and pepper, too,
A dash of Worcestershire sauce or two….
Some cheese, some ham and a buttered bread roll,
The hungry house fly does a forward roll….
He dries the knives and forks clean,
Takes a spin in the washing machine….
He splashes in the sink, It’s full of water to drink, I think !
The hungry housefly is a grade one flyer,
He takes a tumble in the tumble dryer !
Before long, the hungry housefly has eaten every spoon,
Stirred the porridge and sang a tune !
He takes a sip of soup, crunches a hoola – hoop,
Then circles another loop….
He flutters his wings, as around the kitchen he sings,
The hungry housefly eats a million things…
The hungry housefly in a pizza falls,
Before long, he has eaten it all !
So on the dragonfly, he goes to call,
Together the two of them have a ball !
