When the Computer Mouse Got Too BIG for the Mousehole

The computer mouse, as everyone knows, has an enormous appetite -

He cannot resist taking a megabite...

So its hardly surprising that he's not that light,

After years of munching a daily gigabite !

It started off nibbling on crumbs of cheese...

Then the odd cracker that had fallen from the secretary's knees ...

Followed by a few dozen leftover peas...

Washed down with three afternoon teas !

Whatever the secretaries had brought for lunch...

The computer mouse soon decided to crunch...

His favourite delight was a pixel or two...

Which he cooked up a treat by clicking on a few...

Online, he searched in a thousand recipe cookbooks...

No wonder the photocopier gave him funny looks !

He devoured the picture on page one...

It didn't stop there of course,

It went on and on....

Until everything in the refridgerator had completely gone !

His lights flashed...as he gnashed...

Soon, he was so big, off the desktop he then crashed !

What he really wanted was a sleep...

So off he went to snore and count sheep !

From his work , he took a break...

And headed towards the mousehole...hardly awake !

Far away from the thunderstorm,

His bed inside looked cosy and warm...

Home at last ! An hour past...

Soon he needed elastoplast !

Because he got stuck and couldn't get in...

Lodged in the mousehole, he wished he was thin !

Although he pushed and tugged with all his might...

He didn't budge an inch - he was completely stuck tight !

Until the cat came along with her sharp claw...

Picked on his braces - mmmmmm breakfast galore !
