Turnip the Turtle's Sandcastle

Turnip the Turtle had a bucket and spade,

With them, what glorious sandcastles he made !

He dug all day and he dug all night....

He gave the starfish quite a fright !

He buried some treasure by the pleasurebeach.....

He tried to put a flag on top - but it was too out of reach !

Turnip made a moat and a boat to keep afloat...

When it started to rain - luckily he had a coat !

His Sandcastle had turrets and a very tall tower....

In it Turnip put a beautiful flower

Some shells and a well

Some pebbles as well....

Suddenly it started raining a spell...

The waves of the sea crashed the Sandcastle badly....

Which made Turnip the Turtle jump about madly !

He knocked one of the turrets down....

A Seagull sqwarked as on Northerly winds he was blown....

By now, Turnip the Turtle was exhausted, indeed,

As he looked for jellyfish amongst the seaweed to feed

Turnip's Sandcastle was a bit of a mess

It collapsed in a heap because of the weather, I guess.....

A dog came and trod on it....

The last bit crumpled as he nod on it !

Completely flat....whilst the Turtle got fat...

Turnip picked up a ball and a cricket bat!
