Turnip the Turtle's Donkey Ride On the Beach

Turnip the Turtle fell asleep one day,

On the back of a donkey that carried him away !

The donkey went off to explore the shore,

Not realising that Turtle was in the saddle, starting to snore !

He waddled along, took a turn that was wrong,

Turtle tried to jump off, but he wasn't that strong !

Over the rocks and by the sea,

On the back of a donkey was the best place to be

Turtle waved hello to the passers by,

The Sun was shining high in the sky !

The donkey stopped off for a drink,

It was then that Turtle almost dropped off, I think !

Through the sand dunes and onto the pier,

A spot in the distance, they began to disappear !

Turnip the Turtle clung on as hard as he could,

But it was such a bumpy ride, he fell in the mud !

What are you doing there ? The donkey enquired,

Having a snooze in the saddle, the donkey replied !
