Turnip the Turtle Gets a Turtle Wax

Being on your feet all day can be rather tiring indeed,

You're always looking for a tasty lettuce to feed...

At the side of the road, Turnip carried his heavy load...

He got so muddy he thought he'd implode !

In the grass as cars went past,

He got covered in grime that seemed forever to last !

He needed a shower, of course,

So stopped by a flower before the weather got any worse !

Slowly, as it started to rain...

Turnip the turtle fell into the drain !

Oh what a pain ! He thought he'd never get up again !

A motorcyclist came zooming by....

Skidding in mud, two metres high....

The dirt splashed Turnip in the eye...

The motorcyclist didn't say sorry or even why....

So Turnip headed off to the car wash slowly down the path,

Hoping there to take a bath....

They scrubbed his shell to make it clean...

They rubbed it well so Turtle did gleam...

They polished Turtle's toes

They even cleaned his nose...

Now Turtle was the one to glow, I suppose !

Soon Turtle was considerably less lacklustre....

As the cleaners waxed him with a duster !

Before they were done, they made sure he shone....

Until all the mud had completely gone !
