The monkey spent all day swinging through the trees. He did so much swinging that soon he washungrier than a hippopotamus - hungrier than a sealion in the middle of a winter breeze. The hungry monkey was so hungry that his belly rumbled - when his belly rumbled, it shook the coconut trees and coconuts tumbled. They shook so much that hundreds and hundreds of coconuts fell to the ground and started rolling around and around. One coconut hit the monkey on his head - it hurt so much - he had to go to bed. The hungry monkey couldn't catch another - so he called for some help from his monkey - ish big brother. But the coconuts were too quick to catch - they were like eggs that still had yet to hatch. The hungry monkey then started to juggle - as he threw one coconut up in the air, he almost dropped another. The monkey then threw the coconut at a snake - the snake hissed and licked his lips - he loved the taste of coconut and decided to make a cake. A hungry rhino then joined in too - he had heard there were coconuts selling cheap at the zoo so he quickly gobbled up a coconut or two. He used his horn to pierce and stick - another coconut till it made him sick. The hungry monkey cracked open some more - just as another fell to the floor. The hungry monkey ate coconuts for breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea ... since all the coconuts in the jungle were free. There were coconuts sandwiches and coconut stew - so many coconuts, the hungry monkey didn't know what to do. The hungry monkey ate them all up - he ate them from the plate, the dish and the cup. Very soon, his belly grew and grew ... until he was left with only a few.
