The Hungry Housefly's Zigzag Lost In Space

The hungry housefly lost his way, one day,

Zipping across the Milky Way…

Somewhere on his hungry housefly race,

He crashed into a rocket in outer space…

As he shot through the stars,

He zoomed past Mars…

Nothing could quell his housefly appetite,

So he took a mega-bite of a meteorite…

Then thousand light years a hour,

He quickly ran out of power…

So on Venus he napped,

Off to Earth he then zapped…

Soon, he zig-zagged around the Moon, (which he’d heard was made of cream cheese…)

So he asked the man in the Moon for a spoon, please….and tucked in….

Holding on tight, through the Northern lights,

He turned left at Mars, then took a swift right…

One by one, he chomped each Sun,

His bite of Jupiter weighed a ton !

Neptune was his favourite flavour,

A crunch of Pluto, he did savour…

Salt ‘n’ pepper on Uranus, too….

The back to Saturn the hungry housefly flew…

It wasn’t long with all that spinning around,

The hungry housefly crashed to the ground ! THUD ! it was no good….

His wings didn’t flutter like they should !

Activity – circle each of the planets and put them into the correct order.
