One day, as the hungry housefly was zooming up above,
With the pretty bluebottle, he fell in love …
It took the hungry housefly a week to propose,
He bought a ring, champagne and a rose….
He went down on one knee, romantically,
And fluttered his wings, too….
Soon, they decided to get married,
Together on horseback, they got carried…
To the church at the top of the farm,
(it was quite quaint and full of charm)…
The flea and the bee were bridesmaids in pink,
They loved the aroma of the bouquet, I think….
It wasn’t long before they were all tucking in,
To a banquet – their munching made quite a din !
They ate so much jelly,
It wobbled in their belly….
They hopped off the knives and forks,
Flew around the popping champagne corks !
Bounced off a marsh mallow, skid on the butter,
“Watch out for ice – bucket!”, you could hear the bee utter…
They ate up all the muddy water in the puddle
Before quickly zooming off for a kiss and a cuddle….
