The hungry housefly loved music so much,
He often zoomed around the record shop to keep in touch !
He loved to spin on the CD player,
And danced around to “Say a prayer”…
A bit of jazz, a little soul,
His favourite was rock ‘n’ roll…
The hungry housefly was so cool,
He always was a trend-setter at school…
Opera, classical, pop and R ‘n’ B,
The hungry housefly munched them all for his tea…
The hungry housefly funked some more,
A foxtrot across the record shop floor !
A high note, a low note, a bit of bass,
He knew all the words of “Amazing Grace !”…
He sang a tune, every sunny day in June
In his leggings and pop socks,
He put another coin in the jukebox….
The music rang out, loud and clear,
With all the sounds of yesteryear….
