The Hungry Housefly's Climb up Everest

The hungry housefly fancied a challenge indeed,
So off to Nepal, he headed off at speed…
Somewhere in Delhi, he stopped off for a snack,
In a supermarket deli, then got back on track…
His Himalayan appetite,
Meant soon he climbed up quite a height…
In full flight, he took a big bite,
Above snowy glaciers, as high as a kite…
The ice tasted ice, so he took another slice,
Of a hot air balloon, passing by on the right…
Around the peaks, the housefly flew,
So much mountain to eat, and the odd river too…
On a jetty, he met the Yeti,
The hungry housefly had a quick tete a tete…
As on a rock, the housefly perched,
Looking at the map, of the world he searched…
His bobble hat on, his crampons too,
The housefly ate some pebbles, a few…
The hungry housefly’s biggest test,
Was when he climbed Everest…
He started at the bottom, then munched straight to the top,
His belly was still rumbling, so crunching, he didn’t stop…
Overhead, on the way to Tibet,
He devoured a serviette, his hungriest yet !
