It was rugby match day in Warrington town,
The Widnes Vikings were coming on down…
Last week the Wolves played Wigan away,
(The hungry housefly had flown there for the day)…
The housefly was really bored of cricket,
So off he shot to buy a rugby ticket…
Down Winwick Road he quickly flew,
The way to Halliwell Jones stadium, he already knew…
He nibbled through the turnstile,
The under 19’s were playing in a while…
Super league was his favourite game,
He chomped up the programme so he knew every name !
The battle commenced, the game was fought,
At the match report, the ball he caught…
He span around Dwyer…and buzzed “UP THE WIRE !”
The hungry housefly was a brilliant try – er…
Feeling bolder, he sat on Westwood’s shoulder,
The weather was fast becoming a lot colder…
Wilder than a Wakefield Wildcat,
On the pitch line, the housefly sat…
As the half – time whistle blew,
The hungry housefly munched a seat or two…
He crunched through one of the stands,
Flapped his wings, clapped his hands !
At 22-5, the housefly and Wolfie came alive,
He danced around the stadium….doing a tango and a jive !
He sang with the crowds, a musical tune,
Next week Leeds Rhinos will be coming on soon…
