The hungry housefly fancied some treats,
Hard boiled or chewy, the housefly loved sweets!
At first, he didn’t know where to start,
So tucked into a sugary love heart….
He sucked on an aniseed ball,
Then span around the customers who’d come to call…
The housefly showed off his flying tricks,
Then quickly tucked into the pick’’ mix….
Munching on a Kola cube or two,
Around a rhubarb and custard he flew…
As he rolled on the gob-stopper, amongst the shoppers,
The hungry housefly devoured into a cloud of sherbet poppers!
Needing a pit –stop, he landed on a lollipop,
Then tucked into a lemon drop in the window of the shop…
Sugar mice, he found rather ice,
He loved anything tasting of spice…
Chocolate treats, all he could eat,
Even though sometimes they stuck to his feet!
Jellies ad gums, with his housefly chums,
His tummy bulged on yummy plums!
Pink shrimps and candy cane,
A pound or two the housefly began to gain…
Black jacks and toffee, washed down with a coffee…
Liquourice allsorts, three bags full, the housefly munched on, till he was full.
