The Hungry Housefly Flies Off To The Hospital

Whenever the hungry housefly gets ill,

It’s off to the hospital to take a pill…

He zooms around ward C23,

Delivers a baby (before taking his tea !)…

Once he crashed in the corridor,

Landed on his head in the middle of the floor…

The hungry housefly coughed and spluttered,

“Somebody fetch Doctor Fred!” he muttered…

Luckily, Sister Jones came to pick him up,

Bandage his wound and stitch it up…

The doctor came with her stethoscope,

Listened to his heartbeat, well, I hope…..

He looked into his ears and into his bluebottle eyes,

A little bit dazed, he’d been taken by surprise !

When the team of surgeons came rushing in,

They found him perched on the rubbish bin…

Bruised and battered, heavily concussed,

The housefly munched as the midwives fussed….

His furry feet stuck I something sweet,

The best jam and toast he ever did eat !

The doctors quickly made him feel better,

So off he zoomed in a GP letter….
