The Fairy Who Lost Her Way Home

There was once a fairy with a hopeless memory. Her head was so full of magic spells and tricks that she forgot everything that she was ever supposed to remember. When she flew to the shops, inevitably she left her shopping list at home. If she was meant to get a can of beans, she came home with a bottle of lemonade. Instead of orange squash, she picked up mashed potato. That's how bad her memory was. The fairy had such a bad memory that she forgot her bus ticket ... in fact, she forgot where the bus stop was, too. The fairy took a left then right turn. But she got lost. First, the fairy who lost her way home went to buy a map. But the shop was closed, so she got in a real. old flap. It was getting dark and she was scared she couldn't find a place to park. The fairy who lost her way home, stopped off at the train station ... the next train wasn't due until a quarter past two. So, the fairy thought a taxi trip would have to make do. She tried to buy a ticket, but didn't have the cash. She realised that she'd be home late ... and that she'd have to dash. The fairy who lost her way home stopped off on a mushroom and asked a gnome. The gnome said he was rather busy. Going round the bends, the fairy felt quite dizzy. Around the roundabout, the fairy flew. But how to get home, she didn't have a clue. The fairy who lost her way home, ended up in a mess, when she tried to ask the way ... the gnome said she'd have to guess. The fairy didn't have a compass and couldn' t tell East from West. No wonder that the fairy couldn't help but get lost, though she tried her best. The fairy stopped off at the traffic lights, they weren't working very well, nor were they that bright. She wondered how she ever became so misplaced, or even how she would get home in a haste. The fairy waved her magic wand, but it wasn't enough to get her back where she belonged. The fairy's map being mislaid made her hopes of ever getting home fade. Not only had she forgotten the way, but gone were her hopes of finding a better place to stay.
