The Day Tuck's Singing Reduced Old Ladies to Tears

Tuck was a real chatterbox, it's true,

But did you know he could also hold a note or two ?

He liked to sing in the bath and the shower,

Which is lucky because it was soon raining on the flowers !

He started singing as soon as he awoke....

Very soon, all he could do was croak !

So, rah, Me, fa, blah, tee, do...

He sang fast and he sang slow!

At first he whispered, then got loud,

Before long, Tuck had drawn a crowd !

A group of old ladies passing by,

Stopped to listen to his notes, so high

But what they heard was out of time,

The tune didn't match and the words didn't rhyme !

"Stop all that noise !", they pleaded

(A quiet cup of tea is what they needed!)

Tuck continued singing strong....

It seemed his song was an hour long !

"No more ! No more !", they declared,

With all that racket they despaired !

They sobbed and cried, reduced to tears...

They hadn't heard such awful singing in years !
