The Day that Tuck the Toucan Forgot the Words

Usually Tuck had something to say....

He seemed to talk forever and a day !

He chattered on about this and that !

He nattered on no matter what !

Tuck the Toucan started again...

Though his ceaseless twittering was becoming a pain !

Eventually Tuck's waffling became a bore ...

The conversation was poor and his throat was sore !

Everybody was fed up ...telling Tuck - "For Heaven's sake shut up !"

The other animals grumbled about the noise... Tuck mumbled an apology - "I'm sorry, girls and boys !"

So Tuck's ranting completely stopped ...

He forgot the words and his beak was chopped !

Poor old Tuck ! He'd have to read a book ...

He hoped someone would peer in his cage - but he wasn't having much luck !

Nobody came by ... nobody played I - spy

Not even a bee or a butterfly !

All alone, by himself....he talked to the plants upon the shelf !

Tuck the Toucan met a parakeet......who thought his parroting was really neat....

A sentence more and life was complete .... he carried on singing as he sat on his seat !

Re inspired ... his voice was re - wired

He carried on talking until he retired !
