One Christmas, Santa met a friendly smurf...
Together the pair of them went off to Cornwall to surf !
In Newquay Bay, Santa went splashing,
The waves were crashing (and the ice-lollies smashing !)
They bought two surfboards from a shop...and a few bottles of fizzy pop !
Santa put on a pair of swimming trunks...
Ate an ice-cream with chocolate chunks!
Before heading off to Porthcurno beach - saw some dolphins, though they were out of reach !
In the rock pools, they went swishing....even did a bit of fishing !
(It wasn't long before the picnic went missing !)....
A tasty Cornish pasty and the odd mince pie...the crumbs were gobbled up by the seagulls flying high in the sky....
Then into the cool, clear, blue water they took a took a dip....
A mermaid waved and Santa caught her...then off to Coverack they skipped
Surfing on the crest of a wave...the Sun shone down and a golden suntan it gave !
Looking out to France, Santa met a Pirate of Penzance ....
At Lizard Point, the pair of them did a very merry dance....
They would have eaten another pasty (given half the chance....)
Then onto St Ives along the Tin Coast, everyone went to glance !
Their Cornish Christmas was the best holiday ever...
Delivering presents by surfboard was really kind of clever !
