The Computer Mouse and the Paper Clip

The computer, off the mousepad, one day slipped...

In the Winter, he often tripped...

He searched on line and bought a ticket...

Hotels.com helped how to pick it....

The papers arrived the very next day....

Get there by eleven o' clock, they did say...

The computer mouse packed his stuff...

Would five new batteries be enough ?

The hotel's web site said...

There would be a four poster bed...

He hoped they'd have a mousepad instead !

So he clicked on "view some more,"

Got directions and headed towards the door....

The voucher for the hotel spa said...

The jacuzzi was the best near or far...

He clicked on the brochure - 79 pounds it read...

Off flipped the paper clip....and landed on his head !

His nose was stuck...he couldn't get free...

How was he supposed to be there by three ?

He wriggled and jiggled and wiggled about...

But the paper clip remained stuck on his snout !

Three of his friends came along...

Luckily they could see what the problem was and they were strong...

Pulling on the computer mouse's nose, an hour or so,

Until seven inches it finally did grow !

Suddenly, the paper clip sprang off...

Hit the light bulb, which then fell off !

The paper clip was twisted and bent...

A day doing homework - is that what he meant ?
