The Christmas When The Christmas Fairy Lost Her Magic Wand

The Christmas when the Christmas fairy lost her magic wand had no magic at all. The lights on the Christmas tree didn't flash and outside, no snow started to fall. There was no magic surprise and Mrs. Christmas burnt the mince pies. Not only that but Santa's sleigh didn't fly through the air on Christmas day. Oh what a calamity ! Now Santa had nothing for his Christmas tea. Usually, when the Christmas fairy waved her wand, all over the grotto, things were grand. Whenever, the Christmas fairy often flew by, she lit up magic all through the sky. But this year, without her spell, nothing really worked that well. Whenever she tried to fly, the Christmas fairy just went "SPLAT !" and December turned out to be completely flat. Without a magic wand, there was no tinsel, no glitter, no magic and no tricks. What were the gnomes to do, when the Christmas candles didn't flick ? "I have an idea," said the gnome, hoping his suggestion might bring some magic to their grotto home. Perhaps we should try a broomstick (but it was too big), so Santa tried to make a wand from a Christmas tree twig. All went well, until the fairy waved it, then pine needles scattered where Mrs. Christmas was sat for a bit. Next, the elves tried a pen, but ink splattered all over them. Soon, the ink in the pen ran out, without doing much magic about. The snowman brought his fishing rod, that he usually used for catching cod. When the Christmas fairy waved it, he hooked off Santa's hat - which of course was no good - it didn't work at all magically, like magic wands should. So off Santa set to fetch a log from the wood. The logg rolled over, squashing flowers and all the lawn's clover. It was, of course, Jack, who had the best solution to the problem of all ... he brought a branch from the beanstalk, that had been growing up the wall. On it's beans and verdigree leaf, the stalk branch had magic beyond belief. The lepricaun, of course, thought this was great, though when the Christmas fairy waved it, she knocked him of the gate !
