Santa wasn't looking for a mousehole, only a place by the fireside where he had dropped a hot coal. He was worried when he came down the chimney pot, that he'd burn a hole if it hit the spot. When he saw something, quickly flash past, he realised that a mouse was scurrying past. Santa chased themouse around the house (he didn't want his mince pies eaten), but when it came to getting through mouseholes, Santa wasa considerably beaten !). The mouse headed off across the floor, followed by Santa quickly behind - who promptly crashed into the door ! He thought that he'd caught the mouse by the sink, but the mouse ran into the cupboard below (Santa, of course there couldn't go !) then out into the garden, where it hid in the snow. "Yikes ! A mouse !", the snowman cried, as into him Santa suddenly collide. Next, into the garden shed, Santa slid, to see if that was where the mouse was hid (though he accidentally into the lawn - mower skid !), just before he saw the mouse head off down the grid. "Come back, here !", Santa begain to bellow, following the mouse into the snowy meadow. Then up the hill and down the glen, Santa followed the mouse back again when ... he realised that if he used his sleigh, it may help him faster get on his way. Soon, the reindeers had joined in the chase, as Christmas turned fastly into a hunt the mouse race (but, of course, the mouse disappeared without a trace !).
