The Christmas When Gerome the Gnome Got Stuck In The Garden Shed

The Christmas when Santa's gnome, Gerome, got stuck in the garden shed, flowerpots landed on his head and all over the flower bed. Santa only went tou to fetch a hammer, but he hardly expected to find a gnome at the end of the garden, in the shed of his home. he gnome, of course, also got quite a shock, when Santa burst in through the door, after slipping on a rock ! How selfish, to be so selfish ! The gnome really did have no consideration, forgetting to open the advent calendar, not contributing to the cooking and abandoning his toy - making station. Santa thought that all his gnomes were in the kitchen, making noise - not out in the shed where there were no toys. But this gnome had obviously become quite lost. Whilst the turkey was in the oven to roast, perhaps he'd taken out a Christmas letter to post ?! (But got shut in the shed accidentally in the shed because he was shorter than most !). Maybe he'd fallen down a hole for a mole, whilst chatting to an eskimo en route to the North Pole ? Since he was only just over a foot tall, the gnome could hardly be seen at all behind the wall, when in the Fall, Santa came to call. At last, when Santa came to peek, the gnome had been there for over a week ! (though, meanwhile, he'd kept the place rather tidy, so to speak !). The gnome had tidied up the shelves and brushed up all the mess made by the elves (tutting that they should have really done it themselves !). You could hardly see him in a cloud of dust - as the gnome cleaned around the bicycle and knocked off all the rust. Then polished around the beanstalk and swept up the bird table of breadcrumb crusts. The snowman outside, (who was used to the cold), said that hiding in the shed wasn't such a bad place to be (though, alone, there wasn't very much company !).
