The Christmas that the Turkey Got Too Fat at Pat's House

It started in January, during last year,

Everyone started to feed the turkey up as Christmas was getting near !

They wanted to eat a tasty twelve pounder....

Who looked like a World Weight-lifting Championship founder !

They gave the turkey porridge twice a day...

Fed him on weetabix and a bail of hay...

The turkey chomped and devoured the lit...

Every cake and breadcrumb, Mrs Christmas had got !

He started on Monday....munched until Sunday....

Nothing, it seemed, could take the rumbling away !

The turkey loved the sight of food...to eat less than 3 courses would simply be rude !

Slowly as the days passed by,

The turkey got bigger and could no longer fly !

It waddled down the garden path...

Even got stuck in the bubble bath !

The ground shook when the turkey jumped down...

The windows shattered all over town !

Soon, as the turkey headed into Pat's house...

It got stuck in the door and half scared the cat's mouse...

It took a dozen gnomes all the feathers to pluck,

And to lift it into the oven to cook...

Onto the table took a fork lift truck...

But the turkey at Pat's house, a whole load of elves it took !
