One Christmas at George's house, as he was delivering toys,
Santa took his boots off, so he wouldn't make any noise ....
The boots sat on the mat by the kitchen door,
With two muddy footprints on the kitchen floor !
Along came George's grumpy, old cat,
Who, behind the boots, saw an ugly, old rat !
The rat was munching on a piece of cheese....Santa had wondered why he'd started to sneeze....
The grumpy, old cat chased the rat away,
Made sure he went into the garden to play !
The Christmas fairy came along....and thought of a better place for the boots to belong...
She put then on and had some fun...
Only 6 inches tall, they weighed a ton !
Very soon, by the light of the Moon,
The fairy was dancing to her favourite tune !
The boots became magic and performed magic tricks,
She tripped, they somersaulted and did a dozen flicks !
By now, the fairy was a little dizzy...
Her head was spinning and her hair had gone frizzy !
Stars appeared before her eyes as well as a thousand sugary mince pies !
Enough to sink a battleship....
Over the table, the boots did skip !
When Santa appeared, the magic boots, sized eight...
Stood to attention, all proud and straight !
