The Christmas that Santa Met Sam

The Christmas that Santa met Sam,

Before long Rudolph had tucked into 3 sandwiches of ham...

Rudolph licked his lips hungrily....

Wondering what else Sam had prepared for tea...

Rudolph was such a greedy fellow,

He'd eaten half the kitchen before Sam even said "Hello !"...

Then he munched on a carrot top...

But kept on crunching 'cos his belly rumbling didn't stop !

Next, he devoured an apple or two...

Ate the odd crisp...then another few !

Of a caramel chocolate, Rudolph took a big bite...

Even half a dozen couldn't satisfy his hungry appetite !!!

A little snack on a cheese and cracker

....he ate a bunch of green grapes

(But preferred the ones that were blacker !)

A slice of beef ... brought no relief ...

His incessant crunching was beyond belief !!!

While Santa delivered the presents galore,

Rudolph continued eating some more ...

A plate of mince pies (all rather nice !),

A glass of mulled wine (all sugar and spice !)...

By the time that Rudolph had finished up...

And Sam had done all the washing up...

It was time to leave...but it was quite a squeeze...

To get through the door was a bit of a heave !
