The Christmas that Santa Met Coldplay

One Christmas Santa was bought a ticket...

To a Coldplay concert...on the fridge he did stick it !

All December, Santa looked forward with glee...

To meeting Chris Martin and the others for tea...

The day of the concert, Santa ironed one of his red suits...

He brushed his hair and polished his boots !

He set off early...didn't want to be late...

A very large crowd he did anticipate...great !

Somewhere on the way to the MEN,

Santa's sleigh was dodgy again...

First, a light fizzled and a tyre burst...

The exhaust exploded and the engine failed much worst...

Lights will guide you home...

High up above and down below...

Santa went quick and Santa went slow...

It was a Heavenly view...

But the sleigh didn't go...

Although he wasn't a mechanic,

Santa knew just what to do !

Down the M62, the sleigh ground to a halt...

The petrol guage showed zero...it must have been Gerome the gnome's fault...

When Santa's sleigh broke down on the way to a Coldplay concert...

Santa said..."I will fix you !"...he got a spanner and got a screw...

He brought some cellotape , even some string...

He brought some gift wrap and tried to stick up the thing !

Although he tried as hard as he could,

It was no good...the sleigh didn't move as it should !

Completely flat...absolutely conked out...

If he'd make it at all to concert, Santa did doubt !

The magic had gone completely out of Christmas...

A thousand cars on the motorway did pass !

For some reason, he couldn't explain...

Santa feared he'd never make it's plain...

Santa tried and tried again...

He used a hammer and called the AA,

They sent the fairy to save the day !

In she flew, on the wind she blew...

She said, "Look at the stars and how they shine for you !"

All yellow....she made the sleigh shine, too !

Then something beautiful occurred...

The engine spluttered and suddenly stirred..

Soon it purred and completely whirred...

With a flash of her magic wand...

She waved her hand and Santa soon met the band !
