The Christmas that Santa Met a Friendly Frog

Last Christmas, Santa got stuck in a bog...

He rested on a log and spotted a spotty frog...

The frog was taking it easy, catching juicy flies...

There were so many flying around...his belly was bigger than his eyes !

As his belly rumbled...off the log he tumbled...

Into a mucky puddle he stumbled....

But, being a frog, he hardly grumbled !

There was nothing he liked more...

Than splashing about in the muddy floor...

He climbed up on a lillypad and said to Santa "Things ain't so bad !"....

Because in the Moonlight, the light was dim...

Santa almost stomped on him...

But luckily the frog was trim...and managed to jump away from him...

As Santa crept...up he leapt...

"Watch out for that frog !" the fairy wept...

She had always heard a story from the ladybird....

About a Frog Prince - well how absurd !

An opportunity like that couldn't be missed...

So she put on some lipstick and the friendly frog she kissed !

Being magic as she waved her wand...

A prince appeared and asked for her hand...

In the background played the band,

They were soon married in a wedding quite grand...

The friendly frog bounced down the aisle...

And the pair were wed in nuptial style...

They leapfrogged to their honeymoon over a style ...

In a short while theyd travelled a hundred miles...
