The Christmas that Santa Got A New Lawnmower from Dobbies

Although usually Santa left cutting the grass to the Summer season.....

This year it had grown long, completely without reason...

Through twelve inches of snow, green shoots had started to grow...so off to Dobbies garden centre Santa decided to go....

The selection of ceramic pots were piled up to his knees...

There were garden sheds and flower beds and hundreds of kinds of trees !

In the corner, Santa spied just what he was looking for,

"That's it !" he loudly cried ! And head through the revolving door...

A lawnmower with power for a whole hour...

He looked at the price, it was getting lower !

He switched it ON....and it chomped a flower !

No wonder the salesman started to glower !

The problem was the Christmas fairy...

Who'd made things happen so Dobbies extra-ordinairy!

A little bit of sparkle had escaped from her wand....with a sprinkle of moondust, it sped off over Christmasland....

Through the starry sky, ahead of the sleigh,

The lawnmower zoomed across the Milky Way....

Before the Harvest got much worse....the mower had ploughed through the universe !

Across the galaxy stream...its beam shone a dream....even from pluto Santa could be seen!

But what to do with all those grass cuttings ? Where and who would do the putting ?!!

That's where Rudolph had an idea....what a clever rosy reindeer !

He asked the gnome to do a magical trick...and for the fairy to make it stick !

Again the fairy waved her hand,

And turned the grass to snow with her wand....

Until the weather again became warm,

They magicked a glistening snowy snowstorm !

Which fell on the ground in a huge snowy heap....

Enough for a million snowmen - it really was that deep!

Needless to say, this pleased the elves,

Who spent all Winter enjoying themselves !
