The Christmas that Santa Came to Peter's House

The Christmas that Santa came to Peter's house,

Peter was giving the dog a de - louse !

Peter was washing Rover in the bath,

There were bubbles and splashing and plenty of froth !

The dog barked, as Santa's sleigh was parked...

The North star shone and fireworks sparked !

Outside, Santa heard all the commotion and noise -

All he was trying to do was deliver the children's toys !

Santa decided to wait by the garden gate....

All of this bother was making him late !

But Rover wasn't letting him in...

The neighbours complained - "What was all that din ?!"

Santa put the presents in a pile...

Knocked on the door and waited a while.....

Instead of putting them into the stocking socks...

He posted them through the letterbox !

Although he was a grumpy fellow...

Rover got a present that made him bellow !

A brand, new bone....all juicy and tasty....

Better than even Mrs Christmas's pastry

As Peter's dog tucked in to Santa's Christmas snack...

Santa started to re-pack his sack....

With presents galore, he head off once more...

Ready to knock on another dog's door !!!
