The Christmas that Santa Broke the Doorbell at Jessica's House

At Jessica's house, the chime sounded Midnight on the Grandfather clock,

When suddenly at the door there was a KNOCK ! KNOCK ! KNOCK ! KNOCK !

It was Santa come to call - but all was quiet (no-one was awake at all !)...

Santa hollered out "Get up Jessica !" he gave a shout...

But all stayed still, they were dreaming no doubt !

So Santa pressed the doorbell - absolutely nothing stirred,

Not even the cat purred. It was almost as if Christmas hadn't even occurred !

Again, he tried, but there was no sound.....other than the snow falling onto the ground !

Still nothing happened - Jessica just turned over in bed...only her dog Rover woke up instead !

So Santa tried his luck in the chimney pot....

Of course, he got stuck, with all the presents he'd got !

"Someone help !", he gave a yelp...."Get me out of here ! I've got a party to go to at New Year !"

Gerome the gnome brought a rope,

But Santa was so enormous, there was no hope !

Rudolph had a fantastic idea, i hear,

To get Santa out of there...

Remove the bricks one by one - until the chimney pot was gone !

They started by dismantling the aerial of the TV,

And brought a big hammer to gradually set him free....

Christmas wasn't such a disaster after all,

When Jessica saw her presents piled up in the Hall !
