The Christmas that Santa Became the Fairy's Prince Charming

The Christmas fairy had had enough of kissing frogs....

Her dress was only getting wet swimming in bogs !

None of them were Prince Charming at all...

One of them should be she seemed to recall...

Until Santa kissed her under the mistletoe...then something happened that was magical , you know ! POW ! WOW !

Her wand waved sparkly dust...

And magic sprinkled in a windy gust !

Suddenly Santa turned into Prince Charming...

It really was quite alarming !

His silver Wellington boots and golden crown...glistened all over Christmas town !

Even Rudolph was pulling a golden carriage ....

And all was set for their romantic marriage....

Dear Christmas fairy - come to the ball !

Together they danced through the grotto hall !

As they waltzed around....some magic fell on the ground...

Instead of the daisies on the lawn - diamonds were found !

In the background a dozen violins played...

And 3 Christmas wishes the fairy then made....

Number one was for it to snow...

She looked through the window and it appeared, you know !

Number two was for a Christmas feast....

She wished so hard, there were soon 100 mince pies at least !

The third wish was for a pantomine...

She was watching Beauty and the beast in very little time with wine !

Just like the fairy tale - she fled...

At Midnight, she headed back to bed !

Going down the step, the fairy tripped...

Off her dainty foot, her glass slipper slipped !

Now with only one shoe to adorn....

She nipped and skipped across the lawn....

As she ran off....Santa wondered if he'd scared her off...

Perhaps he hadn't shaved his tickly beard enough !

The very next day, as the story goes,

In the grotto, the Prince tried on everyone's shoes...

Couldn't be a Wellington boot....

That only matched Santa's bright red suit !

A delicate glass slipper on the fairy's foot was put...

The ugly gnomes began to tut !

It fit perfectly...a happy ending with glee...

They celebrated with a glass of sherry for tea !
