The Christmas that Maisy Found a Gnome Hiding in the Shed

There's nothing that the gnomes love considerably more....

Than a game of hide and seek when they finish work at four !

At Maisy's house, the gnomes did stay...

To play a game or two while the weather was grey....

Gerome's favourite place is to hide in the utility room...

In the laundry basket beside the broom !

Gerald hid beneath the bed - "Go find somewhere else instead !", Mrs Christmas said...so he found a spot out in the shed...

Rudolph of course, found a place much worse,

Down the racecourse, though he forgot his purse !

The Christmas fairy decided somewhere more charming....

Behind the logs where on the fire she got warming !

The next day, when all was quiet in Maisy's house...

Maisy thought she saw a mouse...

Down the garden path it head,

Then jumped into the garden shed !

In hot pursuit, followed Maisy...

Rudolph thought her simply crazy !

They peeped into through the door...

Guess who they saw lying on the floor ?

Gerome the gnome in a scruffy heap,

Playing hide 'n' seek, he fell fast asleep !

His very loud snores had made the shed rumble...

So the logs for the fire began to

tumble !

They'd blocked the way out....

Although "HELP !", he did shout....

No-one had come to get him out !

Until Maisy that is....in a bit of a state....

Hoping this tiswas wouldn't make dinner late !
