The Christmas Santa Lost His Map

The Christmas when Santa lost his map, he ended up one the wrong side of the world on the wrong day. He meant to be in the United States, but found himself circling the North Pole in his sleigh - five days too late ! Instead of in France, he was in Poland off on a merry dance. When he looked again, he was in Spain ... then onto Portugal, off the Spanish main. He didn't mean to be in Canada on Boxing Day, but he dropped his map (somewhere above the Shap) and lost his way. In China, he turned right - or that is at least what he thought - then found himself fishing off Austrailia, it wasn't just a cold that he caught ! Santa wanted to get to India, so asked an African the way ... he took a wrong turn, around Saltburn, and ended up in Sweden New Year's Day. "There's No way that's Norway is it ?!", he thought to himself, when he was misguided by an equally lost elf. The elf, of course, had never studied orienteering, so hardly surprising, that Santa got lost whilst steering. In Scandinavia, he asked the way to Moldavia, a policeman said turn left. But when he got to Moscow, he slowly realised he should have just read the signpost to go (not taken a detour via Oslo). The next time that Santa looked down with a frown, he recognised that he was in Capestown ! My the time had flown ! It took him another week, to reached the top of an Alpine peak. By the time he did, he was once again perplexed, lost in Switzerland made him more vexed ! Although he hoped he'd make it home for a turkey dinner, his chances were getting considerably thinner. No wonder Santa was such an unhappy chap in a flap ... when he lost his map in an accidental mishap.
