The Christmas Santa Joined a Band

The Christmastown band was the best in the land...

Music played whenever the fairy waved her magic wand...

The guitar did strum...

In time with the drum...

And from all around the elces did dum di dum...

She cast her spell and Moondust fell...

The music played was magical as well...

From eating a fig...the robin did jig...

He kissed the fairy 'neath a mistletoe sprig...

Even the snowman learned to dance...

He'd dance to New Year given half the chance...

Across the Chanel and all the way to France !

From Cuba with a tuba...

The Christmastown band played...

Hymm sheets flapped and musical notes were displayed...

You wouldn't believe the din they made !

Singing drinking lemonade !!!

Onto Spain and back again...

The piano plonked until it brought rain !

The symbols crashed...as the lights flashed...

Santa on the xylophone bashed !

Onto America...South and North...

Santa sang for all he was worth !

His suit buttons popped (so wide was his girth !)

The roof shook and the bookshelves came unstuck...

A cookbook landed on one of the elves (though he ducked !)

The windows cracked and broke...

Everyone in Christmastown awoke...

The door trembled and rooftiles crumbled...

No wonder all of the neighbours grumbled...
