The Bumbling Bumble Bee's Mistaken Identity

A leopard never changes its spots, or so they say....

So too a bumble bee never changes its stripes to dots - why would they want to anyway ?

But the bumbling bumble bee was short - sighted...

He couldnt see the other bees without being lighted !

No wonder when he bumped into them, they were hardly delighted !

In the dark of the night...things can get quite confusing alright !

Its easy for a simple bumble bee...

To mistake another's identity....

Every bumble bees looks the same...

But its this one's bumbling that gave it its fame !

Perhaps its that he had no name...

Unlike the firefly who has its flame...

Without his spectacles, the bumbling bumble bee couldn't see...

Who was who or what was for tea....

He was as bumbling as a bumble bee can be !

He polished his spectacles until they shone....

Then promptly bumped into everyone !

"Oh ! I'm sorry", he declared (as all the other bumble bees despaired !)

The bumbling bumble bee stubbed his nose on a rose,

It hurt and a bruise started to show, because he was such a clumsy fellow, I suppose.

"Ouch !", he cried out in pain....

Narrowly missing the rain in the drain...

The bumbling bumble bee set off flying around the garden again !

Not stopping for the scarecrow, to explain !

Around the bend, he bumped into his friend - would his bumbling never end ?!

He said "Hello ! Did you know ... there's a vegetable patch where even more flowers grow ?"

The bumbling bumble bee zoomed down the path -

Span round the shed and straight into the bird bath !

Without his spectacles, it was no use...

He ended making a soft landing in the refuse !

He really shouldn't be let loose...

But the bumbling bumble bee's apologies were profuse !
