The Buffalo's Birthday

It was the buffalo's birthday and he wanted a party that would be the best birthday party in the world. It took the buffalo a week to decide who to invite, as well as writing the invitations - and a whole day to do the shopping. There were baked beans and so many napkins that it seemed it would take a month to fold them all. The buffalo bought a tablecloth and lots of birthday candles for his cake - he was quite determined, to ensure that this was the best birthday party he could make. The buffalo's buffet was the biggest buffet you could ever imagine ... there were egg and ham sandwiches, cheese crackers and crisps. So much food to choose from - to keep all the other animals in the zoo from feeling hungry. The buffalo scoffed food to his delight ... bacon on toast and fried eggs. Of course, all of this scoffing left lots of washing - up to do ... cups and saucers, plates, knives, forks and spoons. So much washing - up that it spilled over the edges of the sink. There was so much washing - up after the buffalo's buffet that he stood by the sink for a week. He scrubbed and scrubbed with all his might, but it seemed that he couldn't get the plates to shine bright. Of course, the buffalo's birthday buffet was the talk of all the town - there were so many fun games and music as well as a cheeky, old a clown - that no - one wanted to sit down. The buffalo's birthday buffet lasted the whole afternoon and more - there was fizzy pop and lots of bop - and the buffalo gave a loud birthday roar.
