The Almost There Hare

The almost there hare was never really here and very almost there. In fact, whenever he tried to go anywhere, he was everywhere except there. He was a here when he should have been there and a there when he should have been here hare. Although he started off early every day, he could never decide what to wear and took even longer deciding what to say. No wonder the almost there hare never really got anywhere. When he went to clean the bathroom, he never got off the stair. When he went to mend the table, he ended up sat on the chair. The almost there hare, took hours and hours to do anything ... it took him all morning to take a shower ... and when he did, it took more than an hour. Very often he got lost ... and he took ages cleaning the pots. When the almost there hare was hopping for a bus, he never ever got there on time ... and every trip turned into a fuss. He was always last in the queue - and never paid his rent on time even though his rent was due. The almost there hare tried to get to the bathroom first, but when he ran the taps, the emersion heater burst. Considering he was a hare, he was usually late for everything ... he couldn't sing and couldn't dance on time - even his alarm clock didn't ring. No wonder the almost there hare was always late - he didn't even know the right date. Although he tried hard not to be in such a rush, the almost there hare did everything with a "WHOOSH !".
