Last Christmas, Santa was getting in a bit of a state....he was dreadfully worried that he would be late ! The boys and girls simply couldn't wait...and you can really guess the date !
Santa got his toboggan out of the shed...though he squashed 3 roses in the flowerbed....
Perhaps that would be a quicker way of getting there instead ?!
All the gnomes piled into the back and Rudolph pushed the toboggan onto the muddy track !
Slowly at first...then a lot quicker,
The snow and ice made the journey an awful lot slicker !
What a fun, Christmas ride !
Up hill and down Devon dale...the toboggan on its merry way did sail...
As they all got into full stride,
A couple of gifts dropped on the roadside...
So the grotto gang for Devon tea stopped off ! A tasty mince pie they did scoff !
Admiring the view, Santa ate another two...well that's kind of what hungry Santas do....
Ships ahoy ! He spied a toy: a sailing ship for a Devon boy ! He bought the gift for ten pounds fifty....a real bargain for Santa (who was quite thrifty !) ....
The *** cafe was warm and cosy....
Rudolph's nose was soon getting rosy !
A Devon Christmas was really fun...
With a currant bun for everyone !
