Santa's Papa's Christmas

When Santa was peckish, flying over Warrington,

He headed on down to Papa's - they're number one....

One of Santa's Christmas wishes,

For age had been one of the supper dishes....

Although turkey dinner was usual on Christmas Day,

He fancied fish and chips before flying off, so they say !

Santa parked his sleigh on Pinner's brow,

By now, the traffic was on a complete go - slow ...

As town was busy on Christmas day, don't you know,

(So if the sleigh broke down, there'd always be someone to tow !)

Santa added salt 'n' vinegar to his favourite dish -

A dozen chips and a fresh crispy fish !

Haddock or cod, he didn't bother...

Santa ate the first (then asked for another !)....

A taste of cheesecake, a slice of bread,

Or should he have had steak pie instead ?!

Santa left crumbs all over the floor -

That the robin picked up, then asked for more !

Mrs Christmas took the recipe,

On how to cook batter for Santa's tea...

When the Christmas fairy waved her magic wand,

A dozen seagulls came in to land....

Santa by now, was getting quite fat -

Rudolph couldn't drive the sleigh where was sat...

So the seagulls pulled it along -Well how about that ?!

The seagulls crowed in sheer delight...

(which gave the fairy quite a fright !)

....what a great way to spend Christmas night !

Filling up their enormous seagull appetite !
