Santa's Message in a Bottle

The Christmas Santa crossed the Irish Sea late,

He sent a message in a bottle saying dinner would have to wait !

He threw the bottle into the Sea...

Wondering if it would get there by three

Being magic, the bottle floated off West,

Then, on a beach, set down to rest...

Gerome the gnome was out fishing,

When in the water he saw a bottle swishing...

He picked it up with his fishing net...

It weighed a ton ('cos it was wet, I bet !)

Santa's name was written on it...

It said "I'll be there in a bit..."

Gerome the gnome head off home,

Hoping that there would be no more in the sea foam

He took the bottle to Santa's wife...

My word, hers was a busy life !

Into the oven, she put Santa's turkey....

The message from Santa was really quite quirky !

A handwritten note...on which Santa had wrote...

I nearly threw this onto a passing boat !

Only when Santa got back...

Did she see another in his sack...

A note upon a present for her Christmas gift,

Saying Im sorry, I got stuck in a snowdrift....but luckily the Snowman has given me a lift !
